অঙ্গ-বঙ্গ-কলিঙ্গের আধুনিক বয়ান এই শাড়ি। টাঙ্গাইলের সাবেকি নকশাপাড়ের উপর রথ বা দাঁতের বদলে শাড়ির মূল চরিত্র অক্ষুণ্ণ রেখে নিয়ে আসা প্রদীপের গড়ন দক্ষিণী সংস্কৃতির কথা মনে করায়। নকশা যেন নদীর মতো বয়ে গেছে। আর দেহে এঁটেল মাটির রং। ১০০ শতাংশ সুতির ও ৯২X৯২ কাউন্টের এই হ্যান্ডলুম টাঙ্গাইল শাড়ির নকশাকার শ্যাম বিশ্বাস।
This saree epitomises the fusion of history and modernity. Departing from traditional motifs like chariots or tooth-like designs found in ancient Tangail patterns, this saree features lamp motifs that subtly evoke southern culture while maintaining the essence of the original saree. The design gracefully flows like a river, while the colour hue mirrors that of clay soil. This pure cotton (100%) Tangail saree with a 92x92 count, has been woven entirely on handlooms and has been designed by Shyam Biswas.
